Day 6 : Jaisalmer
After breakfast sight:seeing of Jaisalmer : throbbing in the heart of the thar the burnished sandstone, is an intricately moulded wonderland. a half day sight:seeing tour to visit this city of gilded magic. as the sun sets, the sky goes up in flames and night decends softly, creating a new monument every evening. people still live in these ancient buildings dating from 12 to 15th century. Day 7 : Jaisalmer / Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur (308 kms / 7 hrs approx) On arrival check:in hotel Afternoon half day city tour visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill, including Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Visit Jaswant Thada an imposing marble memorial built in 1899 and the Museum located in the Umaid public gardens. Overnight in hotel.

Day 8 : Jodhpur / Udaipur
After breakfast drive to Udaipur via Ranakpur (259 kms / 7 hrs approx). Evening boat ride on lake Pichola. Overnight in hotel.

Day 9 : Udaipur
Morning visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, drive around Sahelion ki Bari (queen’s resort for her friends), Fateh sagar Lake and Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir (Folk Art Museum). Evening free at leisure. Overnight in hotel.

Day 10 : Udaipur / Pushkar
After breakfast drive to Pushkar (274 kms / 7 hrs approx). On arrival check:in hotel. Afternoon visit the various temples and the sacred Pushkar Lake Pushkar Fair is world famous & normally is during the months of October or November. The only Temple of Lord Brahma, “The Creator of universe as per Hindu Mythology” in the world exists in this small town. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11 : Pushkar / Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur (131 kms / 3 hrs approx). On arrival check:in Hotel. Afternoon proceed for half day tour of Jaipur city the capital city of the state of Rajasthan popularly known as “Pink City”. The buildings in the old walled city are constructed in pink:colored sandstone. Overnight in hotel.

Day 12 : Jaipur

After breakfast leave for excursion to Amber Fort, enjoy elephant ride up the hill on which the fort is situated. Afternoon free at leisure. Overnight in hotel.

Day 13 : Jaipur : Agra

One of the unique way to explore small villages in Rajasthan is by camels. Camel Safaries atop this ship of the desert is most exciting and soft adventure. Riding a camel is not easy as people consider. It is neither a great test for endurance. It is a great experience to explore The Thar : a vibrantly, living, desert, very colourful and hospitable. Itineraries of 2 to 7 days can be arranged traversing approx. 40:50 kms a day on camel. These itineraries are planned in the region of Bikaner, Khimsar, Osian and Jaisalmer. Night halts are usually given near the village to provide opportunities to mingle with the local village folks and to provide insight to the traditional way of their life and culture. Besides one camel per pax on the safari, a camel cart accompanies on the tour to handle baggage and allow riders to take rest as and when required.

AGRA: Two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and Shah Jahan, transformed the little village of Agra into a befitting second capital of the Mughal Empire : giving it the name Dar:ul:Khilafat {seat of the Emperor}. Today a visitor to Agra is caught up in a world of contrasting edifices, of red sandstone and white marble, narrow galleys and quaint buggies, and that irresistible charm that this favorite city of the Mughals still retains. Drive to Fatehpur Sikri. The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience.It a veritable fairytale city and its “ruins”
are in pristine condition … it’s not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of it’s grandeur. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.

JAIPUR : The origins of the beautiful city of Jaipur can be traced back to the eighteenth century, during the reign of Jai Singh II who ascended the Amber throne in 1699.

Day 05: Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Amber Palace. Enjoy Elephant Back ascent to the Fort.

AMBER FORT PALACE : Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. It’s forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it’s ultimate expression.

CITY PALACE : A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one:seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

Day 06: Jaipur : Jodhpur (By Road 280 km/06 hrs)
Breakfast will be at hotel. Proceed to Jodhpur. Reach Jodhpur and check into hotel.

Set at the edge of the THAR Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. Once the capital of the Marwar state, it was founded in 1459 AD by Rao Jodha:chief of the RATHORE clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendants of Rama : the epic hero of the RAMAYANA. The massive 15th century AD Mehrangarh Fort looms on the top of a rocky hill, soaring 125 Mts. Above the plains. The city is encompassed by a high wall :10 km long with 8 gates and innumerable bastions.

In the afternoon visit Mehrangarh Fort (1459 AD) by Rao Jodha who considered themselves the descendents of Lord Rama. In this palace you would see different miniature paintings & cradle room. After this you would visit Jaswant Thada Memorial.

Day 07: Jodhpur : Udaipur (By Road 250km/05hrs)

Visit Ranakpur en route. A visit to the famous Jain Temple, dating back to the 15th century is part of the itinerary. 200 pillars, none of which are alike, support its 29 halls. The Temple abounds with intricate friezes and sculptures.

The city was founded by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan in the 7th Century AD and continued to be a major center of the Chauhan power till 1193 AD when Prithviraj Chauhan lost it to Mohammed Ghauri.

Tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned elephant for the slow but steady climb up to the main gate, making your entrance in the time honoured fashion. The Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took over 100 years to build and now, although deserted, offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Moghul ruling families.

Day 01: Delhi

DELHI, the capital of kingdoms and empires is now a sprawling metropolis with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. Delhi is a perfect introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land and a window to the kaleidoscope : that is India.

Day 02: Delhi
Breakfast will be at the hotel. Start tour of Old & New Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi : Varanasi
Breakfast will be at hotel.

Transfer in time to airport for flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival at Varanasi, you will be met and transferred to hotel.

Varanasi is the World’s most ancient living city. Sunrise on the riverfront, as seen from a boat, can be spiritually uplifting sight. Crowded with temples, and its labyrinth of streets, the city attracts the maximum number of tourists.

Day 04: Varanasi : Khajuraho
In the morning drive to Daswamedh Ghat and take a boat ride on the sacred river Ganges to see the cremation Ghats and witness the living traditions of one of the world’s oldest and most important religions.

Transfer to airport for flight to Khajuraho.

Reach Khajuraho. Transferred to hotel and relax. Visit the WESTERN SET OF TEMPLES. Overnight will be at Khajuraho.

Day 05: Khajuraho
Breakfast will be at hotel.

Proceed for a full day tour of the EXOTIC TEMPLES (EASTERN & SOUTHERN) of Khajuraho.

Relax in the evening or proceed to the SHILPA GRAM for seeing the local artisans at work. You can also see the colorful DANCES show. Overnight will be at Khajuraho.

Day 06: Khajuraho : Orchha : Gwalior
Proceed by surface to ORCHHA.

ORCHHA : A medieval city founded by Bundela rulers with Palaces and temples of the 16th and 17th century which have remarkable withstood the onslaught of time. The city is picturesquely flanked by the River Betwa.

Proceed for sight:seeing of ORCHHA sites within the Fort Complex.

Reach Gwalior and transfer to hotel.

Gwalior’s colorful history, going back to the eight century, is a mosaic of Rajput clans of the Pratihasas, Kachwahas and Tomars, each leaving their marks on the city’s magnificent monuments.

Overnight will be at hotel.

Day 07: Gwalior : Agra
Proceed for sight:seeing after breakfast.

Visit the historic Gurjari Mahal, Man Mandir Palace, Sas Bahu ka Mandir, Royal Palace, the Suraj Kund in the fort and also the Scindia Palace and cenotaphs.

Proceed to Agra after lunch. Reach Agra and relax.

AGRA: Two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and Shah Jahan, transformed the little village of Agra into a befitting second capital of the Mughal Empire : giving it the name Dar:ul:Khilafat {seat of the Emperor}. Today a visitor to Agra is caught up in a world of contrasting edifices, of red sandstone and white marble,narrow galleys and quaint buggies, and that irresistible charm that this favorite city of the Mughals still retains. It is not surprising, that modern Agra still reflects its Mughal heritage most conspicuously.

Visit TAJ MAHAL at sunset. Overnight will be at Agra.

Day 08: Agra
Proceed for sight:seeing of the city after breakfast. First, proceed to TAJ MAHAL which is just walking distance from the hotel.

TAJ MAHAL: The fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, built it in 1631 in the memory of his second wife, Mumtaz Mahal, a Muslim Persian princess.
She died while accompanying her husband in Behrampur in a campaign to crush a rebellion, after giving birth to their 14th child. Her death so crushed the emperor that all his hair and beard were said to have grown snow white in a few months. When Mumtaz Mahal was still alive, she extracted four promises from the emperor: first, that he build the Taj; second, that he should marry again; third, that he be kind to their children; and fourth, that he visit the tomb on her death anniversary. He kept the first and second promises. It is a “symbol of eternal love”.

Proceed to Agra and visit Agra Fort: which was built by Akbar In 1525 AD.

Day 09: Agra : Jaipur
Proceed for Jaipur after breakfast.

Visit FATEHPUR SIKRI : The deserted, red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built that as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is an exhilarating experience. It a veritable fairytale city and its “ruins” are in pristine condition … it’s not hard to imagine what the court life must have been like in the days of its grandeur. Also visit the Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.

Continue your drive to Jaipur.

JAIPUR : The origins of the beautiful city of Jaipur can be traced back to the eighteenth century, during the reign of Jai Singh II who ascended the Amber throne in 1699. Jaipur today, epitomizes the spirit of Rajputana. In:spite of growing into a bustling metropolis, it still retains its character and history : A beautiful fusion of the yesteryears and modernity.

Reach Jaipur and check in at hotel. Spend the evening relaxing at this beautiful hotel or visit a couple of temples like the BIRLA MANDIR.

Overnight will be in Jaipur.

Day 10: Jaipur
Breakfast will be at hotel. Proceed for a morning excursion will be taken to the Amber Fort. Enjoy the fort ascent on elephant back in a royal manner.

AMBER FORT PALACE : Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate expression.

Proceed for city sight:seeing after lunch. The sites to include:

CITY PALACE : A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture,
the City Palace sprawls over one:seventh of the area in the walled city.It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.

JANTAR MANTAR : This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use.

HAWA MAHAL : The ornamental facade of this “Palace of Winds” is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. It is a five:storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.

Shopping and relax in the evening. Overnight will be at Jaipur.

Day 11: Jaipur : Chhatrasagar
Breakfast will be at hotel.

Proceed to NIMAJ. (Chhatrasagar)

The fort of Nimaj was built in 1733 by the valiant ruler: Thakur Jagram Singh. Situated in the heart of the town, it is a massive structure built in traditional Rajput style with courtyards and separate wings for men & women.

Relax in the tastefully designed and well:appointed tented accommodation. Each tent has an attached bath with running hot and cold water, and its own private sit out overlooking the lake.

Day 12: Chhatrasagar : Deogarh : Udaipur
Proceed to DEOGARH after a leisurely breakfast.

Have lunch at the DEOGARH MAHAL and find out more about the PRINCELY STATE. Proceed to Udaipur.

Day 17: Jaisalmer
After a relaxed breakfast proceed for full day sight:seeing tour of The Golden City : Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian Desert. See the Patwaon:Ki:Havelies, Salim:Singh:Ki:Haveli and Gandhi Sagar Tank. Also visit Barabagh Hill.

Proceed to the SAND DUNES by jeep after lunch for visiting the typical Rajasthani Desert Village. Start your CAMEL SAFARI from the village. Ride into the desert passing through small villages and camel herds grazing.View the sunset from the dunes, as the sky is set on fire. Reach you camp and dinner will be served in the camp.

Day 18: Jaisalmer : Jodhpur
Breakfast will be at the camp.

Start CAMEL SAFARI winding your way back through a new route to the village. On your way see the villagers starting their day and the womenfolk setting out to fetch water from the desert. The children would be going in groups to the school. Also pass by solitary temples at times.

Day 19: Jodhpur : Delhi
Breakfast will be in the hotel. Proceed to the airport to take the flight to Delhi.

Reach and check in at a hotel for the day. Enjoy the day in the hotel relaxing or do some last minute shopping. Late evening check out as per flight timing and proceed to the airport for flight home.
